A former hotel, this property had fallen into decline after being left empty for a prolonged period. As the tallest building on its road, it had become something on an eyesore. The only residents that liked it were the pigeons that had taken it over. We purchased the property in 2017. Our planners suggested configuring 6 flats but we do not believe Margate needs more small flats and there’s an unmet market need for family housing. We devised a scheme of 4 x 3-bed flats to meet the local need and now the block shows the regeneration in the area and its road.
